Ecuador Project: 2005-2008
Lima has supported a Protos annex project [A1] in Ecuador the objective of which is to offer better living conditions to some 300 rural families. In this region, which has been affected in recent years by a major wave of emigration, the project provides considerable support to the families remaining there. This indirectly concerns 5000 inhabitants of the Bulu-Bulu River basin, situated in the Andes, around 50 km north of the city of Cuenca.
